Alternative to the Label
What is the fascination behind wearing name brands? Isn’t it possible to be more fashion forward without Baby Phat and Applebottoms stapled on your jeans? It is possible. In fact, there are many stores that have other options that will reflect your sense of style.
Some stores that you can venture to are, H&M, American Apparel, and Forever 21, which are great places to crossover to. They make it easy to find any type of look you are going for. If your style is more unique and you like to have fun, go to H&M. They have looks for the young at heart and the young at work. If your look is casual and comfy, go to American Apparel. They have the softest clothes to layer with. And if you’re more of a trend follower and like bright, hip clothes go to Forever 21.
You can find H&M at www.hm.com , however you can’t shop online, the website is just for the looking. American Apparel is at www.americanapparel.net they have stores nationwide and you can shop online. Their prices range from $5 to $45. Lastly, Forever 21 can be found at www.forever21.com, they are the cheapest of the three and have all the new trends before they’re in the magazines. And please don’t be afraid of the thrift store. They have vintage bags, belts, and jewelry to add to your collection. They can be found if you just type in your area and thrift store at www.google.com.
Some things to help you figure out if you are a “Name-Brand Junkie” and you need to switch up your look are as follows:
You always buy matching sets. I cannot stand when grown people have on a manikin made outfit. It’s saying you cannot think for yourself, like when your mother used to pick out your fit.
The name of the company is all on the outside of the clothes. Everyone does not need to know who made it. That is no longer a “status” thing.
If your dude can have a “Man’s Version” of your outfit, something is not right.
Please just think about what you’re buying and ways that you can change in order to showcase your personality. There is nothing wrong with a name brand or logo here or there, but we don’t need overkill. Happy Shopping.
