Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Oldie but Goodie.

Where were you in '92? With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, I couldn't help but to reminiscence about my first days in fashion. I think it was around 1992 when I started watching Fashion File and Fashion Television early Saturday mornings, while other kids watched cartoons. I don't really remember what I was watching...but I knew, that I was in love.

So naturally, I went back to the Marc Jacobs for Perry Ellis days. Classic Grunge. Classic '92. Classic Marc. Don't forget, he got fired for his "shocking" collection in 1992...which was probably the best thing that could have ever happened for him. He was hired shortly after by the biggest luxury brand in history, aka Louis Vuitton.

Enjoy a Blast from the Past.

The Dark & Serious

Ashley Olsen...the cooler of the two (just my personal opinion) poses for V Man magazine in the Summer 2009 issue. She talks to designer Marc Jacobs about her new Men's line for The Row and the differences between her and Mary-Kate. In case you guys didn't know, Ashley is now a full-time fashion designer and Mary-Kate has decided to still pursue an acting career.

Ashley states, On designing for The Row:

"The way I look at it, I had a career as a child. I had a career in an industry in which the media kind of. . . they're obsessed with the young girl thing. But when I turned 18, I moved to New York, and I haven't really done anything to be a celebrity. I've been transitioning from acting as a kid to doing something that I'm choosing for myself — to be a part of the fashion industry. . . the outside perception is very different because you do have celebrity brands, people like Jessica Simpson and Kimora Lee Simmons, and those are celebrity brands because they have their names on them."
On being different from her twin sister:

"When I was 14, 15, 16, 17, it was harder because the two of us were still very similar. We had to work through what's special about us, and then the media had to work through it. . . I've never been one to engage the media to say that I'm different. I actually did the opposite and I totally went internal. I was like, "See y'all!" I want to be behind the scenes, and I don't want people to know anything about my personal life. I have a job, I take it very seriously, and I work really hard."

Rihanna + Marc Jacobs = YES!

Oh Rihanna. Why can't I be your BFF...to hang, to gab, to wear your cute shit?

Anyways, I just wanted the world to see RiRi in her latest ensemble. She was staying at the Gramercy Park Hotel in Manhattan for the Met Gala Monday night. And she went out on the town Tuesday night in this HOTT Marc Jacobs yellow leather jacket with sequinned lapels.

Notice how she wore it, versus the way it was styled on the runway. The look is from Marc Jacobs Spring 2009.

Name Droppin' Is Officially On Crack.

Marc Jacobs has just released a new line of accessories for super-cheap and his name is all over this shit.

Its called 'Jacobs by Marc Jacobs for Marc by Marc Jacobs in collaboration with Marc Jacobs by Marc by Marc Jacobs.'

Sheesh.

So it's clearly a mockery of people who MUST plaster their name all over their merchandise to I guess show class or something. i.e. Baby Phat.

I love it, I think its hilarious and I love when things make fun of other people.

Ode to Marc.

I cannot help but to love Marc Jacobs. He can do no wrong in my eyes. Each collection he seeps out of his mind is genius. His latest Spring 09 RTW collection was like looking into the past of a classy, eclectic, eccentric gypsy woman. Every piece was colorful and carefully put together to form this being of vintage beauty. She looked like she got her outfit handmade in India 30 years ago. Layer after layer after layer proved to be more detailed and intricate than the last. Hats, scarves, bracelets, necklaces, hair bows, cardigans, jackets, blouses, skirts, pants, belts...WOO!

There are Asian influences, mixed with African Ethnic influences, mashed with American Prairie girl, and Indian detailing. A United World of Fashion and Style.

I'm exhausted and excited for more all at the same time. Is February here yet so I can see what he's going to do next. I have a feeling Fall 09 will be the same rich color palette but even more layers, oversize knits, wide stirrup pants, rich leathers, velvets, and suedes....

Sorry I'm forecasting, I'm so impatient.

I Heart Marc. Do you?
