Life.

What I always say...

"If it ain't one thing, It's another thing..."

As we get older, one learns more and more things about life. This has been one of the most stressful years of my life... (moving, work, love, recognition, family...etc etc) And I realize that I'm still hanging in there. I'm still kicking. STILL smiling.

So...what are you stressed about? What has made you appreciate all the good things? What has kicked you in the neck and said hello, stay humble?

I just wanted to send this blog out to say, We're all going through it. Stay strong and what your working for will pay off in the end. Just stay beautiful inside and out.

Quote of the Blog:

"Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life."

Render THIS.

My new fav artist...Cedric Rivrain, takes a new twist on fashion illustrating. He uses real models as his muse, (including famed Kate Moss) AND he takes pieces straight from the runway to get inspired by. The best part? He then incorporates a beautiful new element to it, by adding dramatic face wear and distorting the clothing and accessories. He is definitely noteworthy. Get Inspired...

I Think I Saw A Puddy Cat.

Vintage! Vintage! Vintage!

I cannot get enough...and apparently the rest of the world can't either. I just stumbled upon something crazy cool!

Boxing Kitten

Inspired by Josephine Baker and her mommy, New Jersey native Maya Lake produces "classic fashion for revolutionary minds with the past, present, and future..."

"....each garment is carefully produced in bold and fearless print combinations, and then fused with charmingly flawless and demure patterns...."

Also adding that Boxing Kitten "celebrates the spirit and lives of women who have come before".

Beautiful. Black Girls Rule!

BomB.

Celine
Kiraro Graffiti Print Cut-Out Sandal

About $1250

Mind over matter ladies. If you can afford this, can you wear this? The shoe is crazier than any Marc Jacobs creation, higher than any Manolo, and more exclusive than any Christian Louboutin.

The sandal has a cut-out section within the platform and a unheard of open section in the center of the sole and sharp angular heel.
Standing 6 inches high....you may end up taller than Shaquille O'Neal. Made of 100% graffitti print leather, inspired by African Tribal drawings. With a clear nod to 80s hip-hop.

Aye dios mio.

Medium Of Choice.

I love art. And I'm sad that fashion illustration is slowly dying. I just wanted to share a new favorite. Sabine Pieper.

I also have her art as my Blog Header. I will put a new artist every few weeks or so...because if we don't support the arts, who will.

Get Inspired

Get Inspired. Not by fashion shows, not by models and icons...get inspired by the weird shit. I had to post these pictures because...I get inspired by people who think outside the box. And these images are so crazy, I instantly am flooded with ideas. How will these inspire you?
