There's a new Trend Alert: Looking like a Disco Ball. If you guys like to be the center of attention like myself, then this is the perfect trend for you.

Chloe- Spring/Summer 2009

Here are a few rules as how to wear it:

1: Do not wear shimmer fabric from head to toe...unless you are 105 lbs. and 5'9 or taller.
2: Do not wear glitter eye shadow or lip gloss...a little shine is acceptable, but the glitter shit you wore to Cheer Camp circa 1996 is not cool.
3: Wear one statement piece, i.e. dress, bolero, jackets, pants....etc.
4: You can tone down a very sparkly piece with nude colors or black to balance it out.
5: Wear it with confidence...no one likes a shy Diana Ross. If you're a diva, be a damn DIVA.

That Balmain Jacket

The dog and pony show continues. This band jacket trend is getting out of control and a trend wouldn't be complete without a trickle-down, cheaper version for us commoners.

Alice + Olivia put out a less bling-ed out version of the Balmain band jacket....its not as cute but when you knock off $10,500 off the selling price...shit can happen. Or not happen.

So the question is posed, would you be snobby and go to full $11,400 for the true Balmain (name brand) OR settle for the blatant knock-off version for $500??? Are you bothered by the copy-cat syndrome?

What's so sad about this whole thing is the fact that I'm going to have to wait for the Target version for $39.99. That's more my price range.

Balmain: The Dog & Pony Show

There's two things I'm going to start, with this blog.

1. Celebrity sightings: What they wore, what I think, Runway to Realway.
2. Street Chic: Random people on the street, their style...etc. etc.

So to start with the first one. I must talk about my girl Rihanna. She was seen in L.A. this past weekend, shopping it up. She looks great (considering) and her home girl has on the denim hammer pants from H&M. Love those too.

Anywho, just wanted to show you the runway look and then the way she wore it. It looks great on her and I love her short wet & wavy doo.

Side Note: The jacket is by Balmain and it costs around $4,ooo. Of course not to over shadow Beyonce who wore the $11,400 version last month. (Guess Ri Ri knows not to out-do the 'Diva')
